Meghan Duffy Murphy

I’ve always lived an active lifestyle and I have found that it has a great effect on both for my mind and my body.  I grew up as a swimmer and when my swimming career ended I needed another outlet for all of my energy. I fell in love with sweating (its hard to sweat in the pool!) and bodycombat is a great way to get an amazing sweat going. I also teach bodyflow, which is perfect for active people to give back to their bodies and keep them injury free. I love the way exercising makes me feel and I love sharing that feeling with my clients. With exercise it starts as a love hate relationship but if you put in enough time it you learn to just love it.

Jay Dennett

I’d found group fitness by accident. One evening I was talking to my wife about canceling my  membership because I wasn’t going to the gym enough, to literally 8 hours later (due to a cancellation) I was taking the RPM training, and out of my comfort zone (many of you were there for the first few awkward monthsJ). Fast forward almost six years, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it. I love working with new and experienced riders, and helping them push their abilities, wherever they may be. It doesn’t matter where you start from, it just matters that you start!  I grew up on bicycles. My first job at 13, was working at Haggett’s Bicycle shop in Manchester, that I kept for 7 years.  Instead of camps when I was young, I went on bicycle tours. I started with the Cape and a portion of the coast of Maine, the following summer I rode a portion of the Canadian Rockies, from Calgary making our way to Edmonton, and the next summer from Oak Harbor, Washington to Hampton Beach, NH.

Michael Makabeli

I’ve been instructing fitness classes since 2008 after being a participant for many years. When I first experienced Les Mills programs, I was hooked. Group fitness is a passion of mine and I love instructing and helping people achieve their fitness goals. After being initially certified in Body Step, I now have certifications in RPM and Body Combat as well.  Even after so many years, I’m still passionate about teaching and Les Mills does an amazing job connecting movement to music. I love the challenge of bringing that to the class each and every time. Also, my fellow instructors are so professional and great to work with. I consider myself a regular guy. I’m a proud father of 3 amazing kids and I have a Masters degree in Software Engineering. I’ve also received a group fitness certification from AFPA and during my college years I worked myself to brown belt in Shotokan Karate. In my view, anyone and everyone can do group fitness. Come in and get fit !!!

Deb Dupont

I’ve been teaching Bodypump and RPM at SSC for 7 years but first got in to group fitness more than 25 years ago!!!  There is nothing more motivating for me than having members tell me how I have helped them achieve and keep their fitness goals. When I am not teaching at the gym I am working out either at the gym or outdoors.  Before becoming Les Mills certified I thought I wouldn’t enjoy being an instructor because it would then be a “job”.  I can’t imagine my life without it!

Deb Iafolla

I have been a Pilate’s Instructor since 2001, starting at Gold’s Gym which is now SSC-Greenleaf.  Pilates builds strength, balance, and flexibility, which carry over into every activity and movement you do during the day. It is a core based full body workout that energizes you.  I really enjoy teaching and seeing people get stronger. The members at SSC are the best, many I have become good friends with over the years.
